Four Steps to Protect your Slip and Fall Injury Rights

Were you injured in a slip and fall accident? If so, there are steps you can take to protect your rights.

Here are four steps you should take without delay:

1. Report the accident to the manager or property owner. The sooner you do this the better off you are going to be. Not only will it help your cause when filing a lawsuit, but it may help others avoid the same trouble.

2. Request that the manager or property owner writes down the information related to your fall. Along with this, request a copy for your personal records.

3. Receive medical attention. If you are too injured to complete the two steps above, you should move immediately to this one. There is nothing more important than your health.

4. Contact an experienced slip and fall attorney. You should do this as quickly as possible following an accident so that notice can be given to the property owner as well as their insurance company.

If you take these four steps after a slip and fall accident, you are doing your part in protecting your rights.
