In today’s world, one would think that racial discrimination is many years in the past. Unfortunately, this is not true.
People continue to be discriminated against because of their race, with this often times happening at a place of employment.
DoSomething.org has shared a variety of statistics related to racial discrimination, including the following:
“Studies show that police are more likely to pull over and frisk blacks or Latinos than whites. In New York City, 80% of the stops made were blacks and Latinos, and 85% of those people were frisked, compared to a mere 8% of the white people stopped.”
This may have nothing to do with workplace discrimination, but it does prove that some level of racial discrimination remains.
