Racial Discrimination Remains an Issue

In today’s world, one would think that racial discrimination is many years in the past. Unfortunately, this is not true.

People continue to be discriminated against because of their race, with this often times happening at a place of employment.

DoSomething.org has shared a variety of statistics related to racial discrimination, including the following:

“Studies show that police are more likely to pull over and frisk blacks or Latinos than whites. In New York City, 80% of the stops made were blacks and Latinos, and 85% of those people were frisked, compared to a mere 8% of the white people stopped.”

This may have nothing to do with workplace discrimination, but it does prove that some level of racial discrimination remains.

If a person feels that he or she has been a victim, it may be time to consult with an experienced discrimination attorney. You may have be entitled to:

  • Future lost earnings
  • Back pay
  • Emotional distress
  • Punitive damages

We strongly believe that racial discrimination should be kept in the past. If you have been discriminated against at work, regardless of the reason, we are here to help.
