Last month, we published a blog post entitled “Testing of Trinity Guardrails Begins.” In it, we discussed the current state of Trinity Industries and the safety concerns of the government regarding its commonly used guardrail system.
According to reports, testing of the guardrail system continues. The fifth of eight tests was completed yesterday at the Southwest Research Institute in San Antonio, Texas. This test entailed a truck, traveling at 62 mph, crashing into the guardrail. KSAT noted that the crash caused “a portion of the truck’s exterior to peel back.”
With the next test scheduled for today, the Federal Highway Administration has not released much information regarding the results. However, once the eighth and final test is concluded, the results will be shared with the public.
If a person is injured by a defective product, such as a guardrail, he or she may want to discuss the possibility of a lawsuit with a personal injury attorney.
